Purifying Room Spray Recipe

This homemade room spray is great for winter as the cinnamon in it is very warming.  I highly encourage you to make your own room spray rather than buying stuff from the store that is full of harmful chemicals.  *If you must buy some air freshener – Check my household products buying guide.  

This recipe is strictly a room spray (some sprays can double as body spray, but not this one).  I recommend spraying it high in the air and not directly over furniture.  (Avoid skin contact because of the cinnamon.  I once used cinnamon in my bath water and it burned.)

Ingredients:

8 ounces distilled water JMM_0629

8 drops cinnamon essential oil
8 drops tea tree essential oil
8 drops orange essential oil (or any citrus based essential oil)

Directions

Combine water and oils in an 8-ounce spray bottle (preferably glass).  Shake vigorously and mist air.

***Always shake spray before using.     ***To make a spray that will better eliminate strong odors, add white vinegar in ¼ the amount of the water in the recipe.     ***To make a spray that the scent lasts longer, add unflavored vodka in the same amount as the water in the recipe
