Anti-Aging Papaya Face Mask & Treat

Make yourself a papaya and yogurt face mask and then eat the unused portion.  By applying it to your face and eating it, you benefit your skin in two ways.

Papaya contains the antioxidants vitamin C and beta-carotene.  Antioxidants fight free radicals that damage our skin and make it look older.  Papaya contains an enzyme called papain which is beneficial to our digestion, but when applied topically it helps slough off dead skin cells that make our skin appear dull.  Yogurt contains probiotics which are beneficial to our digestion, and when applied topically, yogurt helps to soothe and soften skin.  Poor digestion shows up in/on our skin, so by supporting our digestive system, we also support our skin.

To make your edible face mask, blend the meat of one papya with one cup of plain, grass-fed yogurt (or organic).  Massage the yogurt blend into your clean facial skin, leave for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.
