Easy Savory Slow Cooker Chicken

I use my slow cooker all the time for beef and chicken.  The meat is more tender and flavorful coming out of the slow cooker.     file301346814473

1 Lb. Organic Chicken (whichever pieces you desire, I prefer boneless thighs)

2 Tbsp. Grass-Fed Butter

4 Large Carrots, Cut in Pieces or 12 Baby Carrots

4 Celery Stalks, Cut in Pieces

1/2 C. Chopped Onion

1 Bay Leaf

4 Fresh Sage Leaves

1 Large Rosemary Sprig

Salt & Pepper to Taste

 

  1.  Place all ingredients except sage and rosemary in slow cooker.  Add enough water to cover chicken & veggies.
  2. Cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  3. Add sage and rosemary in last hour of cooking.
  4. Sprinkle with salt & pepper when ready to serve.
