Pumpkin Smoothie

It’s October right now. Pumpkins are in season. Pumpkin gets overlooked as a superfood, but it is. It has potassium, iron, magnesium, zinc, copper, and lots of beta carotene (great antioxidant). Now is a great time to stock up on canned pumpkin and have it available for months. I recommend Trader Joe’s organic canned pumpkin or Farmer’s Market brand organic canned pumpkin because they are both in BPA free cans.
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 C. Canned Pumpkin
1/4 C. Almond Milk
1/4 C. Plain Yogurt
2 Tbsp. Almond Butter
1 Tsp. Cinnamon or Pumpkin Pie Spice
1 Tsp. Raw Honey
3-4 Ice Cubes
DIRECTIONS:
Place all ingredients in blender and blend.
